Presentations Application

Q

Is there an alternative to PowerPoint?

A

Spresent and Open Office Impress are two free, online alternatives to PowerPoint. I tend to like Zoho services, like Zoho Writer and Zoho Sheet, but Zoho Show, which is their presentations tool, can be frustrating to work with.

Keynote is my favorite if you have a Mac. I mean, c’mon…Steve Jobs uses it! It’s part of iWork, for $79.

    Dear Cali,
At the Launch Conference in Silicon Valley, Spresent just announced a unique Web-Desktop “pair” - identical Web and Desktop versions (Tonic and WinTonic). Desktop version looks and feels the same as free Web version, but works off-line, plus few extra features, like SWF export (compiler). It will be released later this month.
