Populated Information in Bonjour

If you follow my Twitters or Qik videos, you know I recently got my new MacBook Pro. During the setup process, I entered our Apple.com login information, which is under Neal’s name. This isn’t the .mac account. I set up a single user account in my name.

When I logged into Bonjour, Neal’s name appeared and I couldn’t find a way to change it, so I called Apple to find out what to do.  I figured some of you might like to know this, too.

The Bonjour information is populated from the Address Book. If a name shows up that isn’t the one you want, just change it from the Address Book, then log back into Bonjour, and you’re all set. Simple!

    Cali,

What do you mean by “… then log back into Bonjour,…” I don’t really understand, because I’ve never logged into Bonjour. To me Bonjour is a zero configuration technology that publishes available resources, such as webpages, printers, iChat clients. I guess I missed something.

I believe she means the Bonjour in iChat where you can send messages and files directly over your network without going through AIM.

Yes, Scott’s right. Sorry for not clarifying!
