Photo Subfolders on the iPhone

Q

Is there a way to have the iPhone sort photos in a subfolder? For example, it automatically sorts pictures in one folder (2007) but not the sub folder (January) like it is sorted on the computer.

A

The iPhone will sync one main folder and as many subfolders as you want. It won’t sync a second series of subfolders (the child folder).

You have a couple options. You can choose to sync all your photos from the years 2005, 2006, and 2007.

This will give you your photos sorted into years on the iPhone, but not months. You might not even have room for that many photos, so consider this next option. From the drop down box, click “Choose Folder” and choose “2007″.

You’ll see your subfolders here. Check the box beside the folders you want to sync, then hit “Apply”.

You can also drag these subfolders to arrange them in the order you want them to appear. If you really, really want your photos from 2006 and 2007, and you won’t be satisfied until you have your subdirectories, try re-organizing your library. ;)

Or, you could beg developers to come up with a third-party solution.

Thanks a lot Cali! I have actually tried re doing my library itself on the computer, but it don’t seem to work. However, this advice helps me greatly. Thanks so much! I will continue to be a devoted fan!
