iPhoto Importing

Q

Question: When I connect my digital camera to my Mac iPhoto pops up and wants to download all 800 images I have on my camera but I only want to download the latest ones. Is there any other way than just dragging these photos from Finder window?

A

To the best of my knowledge, you have two options. One is to drag your photos from the Finder window like you’ve been doing, and the other is to go to File/Import in iPhoto. Unfortunately, I don’t know a work around for only importing new photos. Maybe someone will add something in comments.

if you open Image Capture and open its preferences then tell it to open Image Capture when a camera is connected, when it imports you can select which photos to import.

Consider storing your images elsewhere besides the media card. In the event something happens to the card… Or buy more cards.
