Find Downloaded Files from Miro

Q

I just downloaded the program Miro. Love it and find it very useful. But how can I save the downloads to my computer in Quicktime format?

A

For those of you who might not know, Miro is an open source podcatcher and online video player (it used to be called Democracy Player). They’ve worked really hard to build the most fully functional system for subscribing to and watching Web video.

When Miro downloads a show, it’s downloading it to your computer, so those Quicktime files are there for you to watch outside of the Miro player. To find them, click on “Details” of a downloaded show.

Then click on “Reveal Local File”.

If you’d like to see all your downloaded files at once, they’re kept in a folder called Miro. On a Mac, browse to Movies/Miro. On a PC, browse to User/Videos/Miro.

    Dear Cali,

I send this email, so thanks for the respons! Very nice. But one more thing; If I download Youtube or Google Video movies, it doesn’t work if I go to this map. Also when I changed it in Quicktime. Is there a option to change that so I can put it in imovie for example ??

    Many thanks again !!

    Cuddles,

    Niek (from The Netherlands)
