File Transfer Services

Q

Our corporate firewall has always made using FTP sites problematic. Alternatively, we’ve found free file transfer services like YouSendIt.com more reliable and easier to use. Over time, the size of our file transfers has grown to the point we need to consider moving from a free file transfer service to a more robust subscription-based file transfer service. Do you have a clear favorite you’d like to recommend?

A

Take a look at Pownce. If the files you send are 100MB or smaller, you can sign up for a Pro account, and send as many files as you want, at $20/year. If your files are larger, I suggest YouSendIt. They have three paid options, starting at $109.99/year.

I would say look at using google space within firefox, may resolve the issue and its free! The other option is adobe share, which is a new service using adobe air technology, this is probably the best way of sharing files. Not sure if theirs a limit to file size?

YouSendIt has free options as well. I’ve used it and have had great results.
