Digital Photo Frames

Q

I remember a while back you talked about a digital picture frame that could sync with a Flickr account. This would be great for my mom, but I cant seem to find the 3 magic words for it to come up on google. do you remember the make model? do you know of any others that can do some similar (doesn’t have to use flickr, but something her Kids could update from different states.)

I remember a while back you talked about digital picture frames. I’m looking for something for my mom that allows her kids to update from different states, possibly even pull photos from Flickr. What do you recommend?

A

The CEVIA Digital Photo Frames is probably your best option.

CEVIA Frames are expensive, but well worth it for some people. You buy the frame and pay a yearly subscription fee that allows you (or multiple people) to log into an online account and upload pictures. Your mom wouldn’t need anything faster than dial-up…it wouldn’t hurt for her to have Wi-Fi, but dial-up is enough. Growing up, my Dad was in a differnt state. I wish he could have had a CEVIA frame to watch us grow up.

The eStarling Frame looks great and has RSS support so you can pull photos from sites like Flickr. I’m really excited about this frame and what it will become.  It had a rough start, but they just released version 2 with some much needed improvements.  Until I’ve tried it, I’m reluctant to recommend it, but you can search the Web for reviews. It might be what you’re looking for.
