Autofill Forms in Firefox

Q

I love Firefox on my macs but hate the fact that you can’t autofill forms using your Address Book data in the way that Safari does. Do you know of any plug-ins etc for Firefox that would do this?

A

There are a few Firefox plugins that will allow you to autofill forms. You can find the list here. My favorite one is Autofill Forms. Once you install it, click on “Tools”, then “Add-ons”.

Find the Autofill Forms plugin and choose Preferences.

You can set up different users, and add form values, or take some away. It’s very customizable.

Once you have your preferences set, right click on your Firefox Toolbar, and choose “Customize…”. Drag the Autofill Icon to where you want it in the toolbar. When you want to fill out a form, just click on the pencil icon.

No matter what I do I can’t get Google Autofill to appear with the other things on the Google toolbar. Any suggestions? Could something on the security options be blocking it?
